Welcome Email Template

A welcome email should confirm what just happened and give a new user one useful next step—not try to explain the entire product at once.

Plain-text preview

Use a short subject, recognize the new account, and point to a real first action.

Subject: Welcome to {app_name} Hi {name}, Your account is ready. Get started here: {login_url} Need help? Contact {support_email}. {company_name}

Features and use cases

Use this transactional message after the account is actually created. It confirms readiness, offers one onboarding step, includes a return path, and gives a support contact. The next step can be profile setup, a short product tour, connecting an integration, or opening a first project—choose the action that matters most for your service.

If the address still needs verification, send a verification email first and make the welcome copy clear about the account's current state.

Customization and technology

Replace {app_name}, {name}, {login_url}, {support_email}, and {company_name}. Use a natural fallback if the name is unknown, localize the subject and instructions, and make sure links use your verified domain.

This preview is plain text. The email template library can provide editable plain-text and HTML output. Send through your existing transactional mail service; there is no package to install and this page does not send email.

Use and preview instructions

Copy the sample into your email provider, substitute values on the server, and send it only after the signup transaction succeeds. In HTML, use a logical heading, descriptive link labels, readable contrast, and meaningful alt text. Keep important steps visible in the plain-text alternative and avoid making a banner image the only route to the product.

Preview with images off, in dark mode, and at a narrow width. The text sample is a content preview rather than a screenshot of a rendered client.

License and limitations

This is a starting point, not a marketing strategy or deliverability guarantee. Do not include a password, private token, or unrelated promotion. Measure onboarding outcomes with your own consent and privacy rules; email opens are not a reliable proof that a person read the content.

No separate license is displayed for this sample. Review the Terms of Use and any resource-specific terms before reuse or redistribution. Third-party names and software remain subject to their owners' terms.
